One encounter may become a film, a question, an exhibition, a book—or remain open until it finds another form.
We begin with a question and stay close to the encounter. A conversation can become a moving image; a field visit can become a project; production itself can change what the work is able to see. We keep these forms in circulation so that they can meet one another again.
我们从一个问题出发，并尽量靠近相遇本身。一次对话可以成为影像，一次田野行走可以长成项目，制片过程也会改变作品能够看见什么。我们让这些形式继续流动，使它们在日后重新相遇。
Listen. We leave enough time for a question to change.

Return. We bring earlier material back when a new conversation gives it another meaning.
WU—LIAO is the independent art-research and publishing label initiated and directed by Wu Qian. We develop conversations as moving image, editorial work, public programmes and long-term projects. The WU LIAO name and its related trademark, patent and other intellectual-property rights are held by Wu Qian.

We keep each voice close to its context, quote people by name and leave unfinished details open. The archive changes as new films, documents and conversations arrive; earlier pages may be expanded rather than declared complete.
